Founder
Wind and technology
I’ve always been a keen sailor. I started competing as a child and have never stopped. As I got older, I combined this passion with studying physics and a degree in engineering. That stimulated my desire to improve, understand and rationalise the excitement of sailing and combine it with concrete values. Sailmaster has transpired from these foundations, and major goals that started as a dream and have taken shape to become a new way of enjoying the sailing experience.

The proof of concept: anchoring
Anchoring is well-known to any sailor, having learned to extract useful information from wind forecasts, study nautical maps to find the best points to drop anchor and study situations as they unfold to understand how to manage any other vessels present.
The Sailmaster anchoring POC starts with the basics of this shared knowledge and proceeds by analysing a considerable amount of data with a system that considers the elements, comfort and safety requirements of the people on board to define the best, safest anchor point.
